He further said that half of the VAT that non-BJP ruled states are levying has been levied in BJP ruled states. The difference in petrol prices between BJP and non-BJP ruled states is Rs 15-20. Earlier on Thursday also, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri told that 40 percent of the expenditure in operating the aircraft is fuel. In the states of the country where there is no BJP government, more than 25 percent VAT is being charged on aircraft fuel, whereas it is only one percent in BJP ruled states.
