Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) President Simranjit Singh won from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab. Simranjit defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate here. The BJP won three seats in Tripura and the Congress one in the assembly bypoll results. Congress candidate won in Jharkhand. Durgesh Pathak of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won from Rajendra Nagar Vis seat of Delhi. Mekapati Vikram Reddy of YSR Congress won from Atmakur constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President JP Nadda have congratulated the party workers on the victory of BJP in UP.
Two forts of SP collapsed: Rampur, which was vacated by the resignation of SP General Secretary Azam Khan after the victory in the UP assembly elections, and Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat vacated by the resignation of President Akhilesh Yadav, BJP has won. In Rampur, defeating SP candidate Asim by 42192 votes, Ghanshyam Yadav won the BJP’s seat on this seat, which is a prestige for Azam Khan. In Azamgarh, Dinesh Lal Yadav defeated Dharmendra Yadav of SP by a margin of 8,679 votes. Dharmendra is the cousin of the SP president.
Let us tell you, about three and a half months ago, on March 10, when the results of the UP assembly elections came out, the SP won all the 10 seats of Azamgarh with a clean sweep. The BJP was bewildered then. When the results of Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-polls came on Sunday, it was SP’s turn to be shocked. BJP candidate and Bhojpuri film actor Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirhua’ defeated SP candidate and former Badaun MP Dharmendra Yadav in the Lok Sabha by-election in Azamgarh seat dominated by Mulayam family.
In Rampur, SP candidate Asim Raja was competing with Ghanshyam Lodhi, a two-time member of the Legislative Council. Lodhi was expelled by the SP during the assembly elections for indulging in anti-party activities and joined the BJP. In the 33 rounds of counting, the SP candidate maintained the lead till the first 18 rounds, after which the BJP candidate took the lead. Ghanshyam Singh Lodhi got 3,67,397 votes and Asim Raja got 3,25,205 votes.
AAP’s hat-trick: AAP has scored a hat-trick of victory in the by-election in Rajendra Nagar assembly seat in Delhi. Its candidate Durgesh Pathak defeated BJP candidate Rajesh Bhatia by 11,468 votes. In the first election of 2013, AAP had to face defeat from the BJP here, but in 2015 and 2020, it has registered consecutive victories. The by-election was held on this seat, which fell vacant after Raghav Chadha was elected a Rajya Sabha member. In the counting of votes held on Sunday, where Durgesh Pathak got a total of 40 thousand 319 votes. At the same time, BJP candidate Rajesh Bhatia was able to put only 28 thousand 851 votes in his bag. The deposits of 12 other candidates including Premlata of Congress were forfeited.
Neha of Congress won in Mandar: Neha Tirkey of Congress has defeated Gangotri Kujur of BJP by about 23 thousand votes in Mander assembly by-election. Neha is the daughter of outgoing MLA Bandhu Tirkey. In the case of disproportionate assets, after the cancellation of the membership of the brothers, a by-election has been held in Mandar.
