New Delhi, Online Desk. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Global Patidar Business Summit (GPBS) in Surat, Gujarat. The program is being organized by Sardardham. PM Modi said that today India has so much. We just have to strengthen our self-confidence, our spirit of self-reliance. This confidence will come only when there is participation of everyone in development, everyone’s effort will be taken.
He further said that when the country got independence, what Sardar Sahib had said that there is no dearth of wealth in India. We just have to put our mind and resources to their best use. We should never forget these words of Sardar Saheb when we set out for a resolution for the coming 25 years in the fight for independence.
Modi said, ‘Through its policies and its actions, it is the constant effort of the government to create such an environment in the country that even the youth of a normal family become entrepreneur, dream for him, take pride in entrepreneurship. Development of infrastructure of modern connectivity, construction of new cities, development of smart facilities in old cities, freeing the country from old rules and regulations and hand-holding of innovation and ideas, all such works are being worked together.
Today, the Mudra Yojana is giving encouragement to those people of the country to do their business, who never even thought about it. That innovation from Start-up India, in that talent is also seeing Unicorn’s dreams come true today, which never saw a way out. Production Linked incentive i.e. PLI scheme has not only filled the enthusiasm of Make in India in old sectors, but has also created possibilities for the development of new sectors like semiconductors.
MSME sector is developing rapidly
The PM said that despite the unprecedented challenges of the Corona era, the MSME sector in the country is developing rapidly today. Crores of jobs related to MSME were saved by giving help of lakhs of crores of rupees and today this sector is rapidly creating new jobs. Every business, from small to big, has an important contribution in the development of the country. This spirit of everyone’s effort is becoming the strength of the country in the time of Amrit. He further said that the countryman, who does a small business on the street, feels himself connected with the growth story of India today. For the first time, street vendors have also got participation in the formal banking system from PM Svanidhi Yojana. Recently our government has extended this scheme for December 2024.
Program will run for three days
The three-day event will be organized from April 29 to May 1. Sardardham is organizing the GPBS under ‘Mission 2026’ to accelerate the social and economic development of the Patidar community. This summit is held every two years. The first two summits were held in 2018 and 2020 in Gandhinagar and the current summit is now being held in Surat.
What is the main theme of GPBS 2022?
The main theme of GPBS 2022 has been kept as ‘Aatmanirbhar Community to Self-reliant Gujarat and India’. The summit aims to bring together small, medium and large enterprises within the community. As well as nurturing and supporting new entrepreneurs and providing training and employment support to educated youth. The three-day summit covers various aspects of government industrial policy, MSMEs, start-ups, innovation, etc.
